"今天是教师节，我来到这里与您的孩子亦梅、嘉嘉、李艳一同来祭奠恩师您 ——

一个平凡而高贵的灵魂。那得一千年修来的缘份，才能于今生今世的滚滚红尘中与您相遇，做您的学生。

虽说您的仙逝是我们永久的痛，但它还是不足以改变一个已经发生的事实：那就是我们的灵魂里早已融入了您的血脉、风骨、神韵。因为在我们心中，您依然如故地站在那里，伟伟岸岸的犹如一面镜子、一座灯塔、一湾避风港、一本读不完的百科全书。您以无量的慈爱滋和特有的睿智滋养我们的心神；您以行者之风教会我们如何真诚地生活、做人、做事。而这个世界，正因着有了您一扇门才突然洞开。您便是门里迎面走来了那一位向导，于是我们漫长的人生旅途走起来才不那么孤独无助

——该怎样谢您才够呢，我的恩师？

如今您去了天国，此时此刻我的心境是欧阳修的词： ”泪眼问花花不语，乱红飞过秋千去。“

最后，请允许我以您教我的语言写就的一首诗，以寄托我的哀思。我愿意相信，天上的罗老师是听得见的：

Aug 8 2012 is the day wehn God descends to take you away,

Alas, without the visual presence of that tall & tender figure,

this world has been changed forever.

But here we are today, standing by your resting place,

not only to say goodbye to such a noble soul

but also to celebrate a great legacy in your honor.

I do wonder,  had you been here today what would you say.

With a burning cigarette between your figures,

You probably would simply ask: what on earth are you guys doing here?

Or, you may simply say nothing but keep smiling & smoking

Indeed, you are the one who brought us joy, wisdom, decency and knowledge

that was your special package sealed by love and delivered with love as well.

And we are the lucky ones - chosen to be influenced by you,

chosen to be instilled with your energy, inspirations and everlasting spirit.

As long as we are living, you will be living with us in our hearts and thoughts.

Immortal is the word to do a justice for you ——

a great man of supreme qualities:

wisdom, integrity, courage. responsibility & your peculiar sense of humor.

For all the truths you have tried so hard to seek out

I shall say you found love as your sword to fight your battles

For all the causes you sacrificed your golden years

You chose us as the receivers of your profound love.

A friend told me: befriended with a wiser is a blessing of life

For so many years  you are that wiser to be hung around.

The way you talked to us, the walk you walked to us,

the way you smiled at us, together with the way you smoked before us

All these sweet memories associated with you will never leave us

Deep down in our hearts there will be a special place for you

in a day good or bad, rain or shine,

We know you will be standing there as always,

just like the old good days when this world had that tender lovely figure

Yes, you would be there. looking out for us as always.

Thank you, my dear beloved teacher!

May time be our friend to help us nurture the unhealed scar in our hearts

as God take you to His garden - hope you feel at home in His place

As Heaven separates you and us just like clouds separate Heaven and earth

We solemnly swear to God with a promise to you ——

We shall try harder and do well to make you happy until the day we

meet you again.

May your soul rest in Heavenly peace (愿罗老师天灵安息)！
